Social Psychological Bulletin (SPB) invites applications from researchers interested in serving as Editors-in-Chief for a four-year term beginning January 2027.
About SPB
SPB is a diamond open-access journal publishing original empirical research, theoretical reviews, scientific debates, and methodological contributions in basic and applied social psychology. The journal is free for both authors and readers. SPB is indexed in Web of Science (IF 2.0), Scopus (CiteScore 2.6), and PsycINFO, and is a member of the Free Journal Network. The journal is committed to open science practices and actively promotes pre-registration, open data, and the Transparency and Openness Promotion (TOP) guidelines.
The Role
The Editors-in-Chief provide scientific leadership for the journal, oversee the peer-review process, guide editorial policy, and work closely with Associate Editors and the Editorial Board to maintain and develop SPB's standards and scope.

We welcome applications from established researchers in social psychology. Candidates should have a strong record of research and publication in social psychology, prior editorial experience (e.g., as Editor-in-Chief or Associate Editor), a commitment to open science practices, and the capacity to dedicate the time required to serve the journal effectively. Joint applications from a team of up to three potential Editors-in-Chief are also welcome. SPB is committed to gender equality and the diversity of cultural backgrounds within its editorial team, and applications from underrepresented groups are especially encouraged.
SPB is owned by the Polish Social Psychological Society (https://psps.badania.net/en/). Candidates are expected to be members of the Society or to become members upon taking up the role.
